A Case of Meningiomas of the Posterior Fossa

Abstract
Meningiomas are benign histologically and grow slowly, which constitute approximately 15% Of all intracranial neoplasms. They are more commonly encountered in middle-aged women, and are more common in the supratentorial than the infratentorial area.
The meningiomas of posterior fossa are rare, consisting about 10% of all intracranial meningiomas and about 10% of all posterior fossa tumors. It is important to recognize the earliest symptoms and signs because of the relatively high easy rate of operable management and possibility for a high cure rate in some cases.
The authers have experienced a case of meningioma in posterior fossa which was very huge in size and was removed incompletely because of massive bleeding. With review of referried literatures, we reported the above.
